Qualification

Certificate of Health and Safety and Banksman Duties

Outcome of the course

Have an understanding of the relevant health and safety legislation
Understand the powers of the enforcement authorities
Understand the responsibilities of employers and employees
Appreciate the meaning of risk and the cause of accidents at work
Understand the reasoning behind safe systems of work
Identify hazards relating to vehicle loading and unloading and other transport operations

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements for this course but you will need to bring a copy of your passport or driving license on the day.

Assessment

In order to complete this course, all attendees must complete a one hour examination. Compiled of 20 multiple choice questions, this will be assessed before completion of the course.

As per our ongoing training for all our drivers, it’s extremely important that our staff are fully up to date with the latest rules and regulations to ensure they and our customers are safe while traveling on our vehicles. One of the most important checks to ensure the safety of everyone is the walk-around check completed by the driver prior to taking our vehicles out on the road. This course completed by Ridgeway Training gives our drivers the refresher training they require to ensure they check that our vehicles are safe and compliant before going out on the public road.
