As part of ongoing security enhancement work, support for TLS 1.0 and 1.1 will be removed from the SmartAnalysis/SmartLicence platform.
Descartes must ensure they follow the industry standards on security and need to remain up to date with the latest technologies. Descartes will cease support for TLS1.0/1.1 in SmartAnalysis/SmartLicence on June 14, 2021.
Transport Layer Security (TLS) is the technology that encrypts data sent over the Internet, to keep it safe from hackers. TLS 1.0 and 1.1 are out-of-date protocols that do not support modern cryptographic algorithms and contain security vulnerabilities that may be exploited by attackers. The vast majority of encrypted Internet traffic is now over TLS 1.2.
